The author, Beth Appleton, describes her book, Gently Down the Stream:

“Inspiration to write and illustrate this book was a result of the 2010 oil spill which threatened Florida’s Gulf Coast. During those scary days following the spill, I was given the opportunity to help monitor local waters. I photographed, documented and collected water samples to observe life under a microscope. Much of my art still reflects this experience. Gently Down the Stream was created as an educational tool and upon publication was used to teach children to care for and treasure nature.”

The price to purchase an 8″ x 11″ hard cover version of “Gently Down the Stream” is $35. Please note there will be shipping charges of $5 plus 7% sales tax added to your total purchase price of $42.80 if you are a Florida resident. Currently this book is self published, and not mass produced so please allow three weeks for printing and delivery.
